This is my story

This is my story

My name is Sameer.

I am a Mechanical Engineer by profession, but my journey has never been only about drawings, calculations, projects, or approvals.

It has been about finding direction when I was confused.

It has been about staying hopeful when things were not clear.

It has been about learning to believe in myself, even during the days when I was not sure where life was taking me.

Before moving to Dubai, I worked in India for three years.

Those three years taught me a lot, but honestly, they were also full of confusion.

I did not have proper guidance.

I did not know what exactly to study.

I did not know which role to apply for.

I did not know how to prepare for interviews.

I did not know how to make the right career decisions.

I was working, but somewhere inside, I knew I was still searching for direction.

There were many days when I questioned myself.

Am I on the right path?

Am I doing enough?

Will I ever reach where I want to be?

I still remember going for interviews with a file in my hand and hope in my heart.

Sometimes, there were so many people waiting for the same opportunity that I returned without even entering the company.

Those moments were difficult.

They did not make noise from outside, but they quietly affected me from within.

They tested my confidence.

They tested my patience.

They tested my belief.

But somehow, I kept going.

I did not have everything figured out, but I had a small hope that life would open a door one day.

Then Dubai happened.

I came here with no Gulf experience, no big network, and no strong reference.

Just a few printed CVs, some fear, and a lot of hope.

Dubai was not easy in the beginning.

Some days felt heavy.

Some doors did not open.

Some responses never came.

But I kept trying because I knew I had not come this far to stop.

And then, one opportunity came.

My first job in Dubai.

That moment changed something inside me.

It gave me confidence.

It gave me direction.

It gave me a reason to believe that maybe all those difficult days were preparing me for something better.

I was still learning.

I was still making mistakes.

I was still trying to understand a new country, a new market, and a new professional life.

But slowly, I started growing.

I became more responsible.

I became more confident.

I started understanding the industry better.

I started understanding myself better.

When I look back today, I do not see only struggle.

I see a young man who was confused but did not give up.

I see someone who was scared but still kept walking.

I see someone who did not have all the answers, but still trusted the journey.

I see lessons hidden in every difficult day.

I see prayers that were answered slowly.

I see how life shaped me through uncertainty, patience, and hard work.

I am grateful for where I started.

I am grateful for the days that tested me.

💡
I am grateful for the moments that broke my confidence, because they also helped me rebuild it stronger.

I am grateful for the journey that made me who I am today.

I am still learning.

I am still growing.

I still have a long way to go.

But today, I carry one belief very strongly.

Sometimes life does not give you direction immediately.

Sometimes it makes you walk through confusion first, so that when the right door opens, you understand the value of that opportunity.

And maybe that is what my journey has taught me.

The road was not easy.

But it made me stronger, humbler, and more grateful.

💡
When you do not give up on your journey, even confusion slowly turns into direction.
